Seam Ripper Necklace, Lightly Figured Cherry Wood with Gold Hardware

This ultra-handy and supremely stylish magnetic seam ripper necklace features a reversible blade so you can easily and safely use or store it wherever and whenever it is needed. The necklace features a super strong earth magnet quick release clasp that conveniently releases and reattaches. Includes a long 36" chain so you can effortlessly use the seam ripper while its around your neck. The blade is made from durable manganese steel and features a cherry wooden body accented by gold hardware and is 5 1/4" long.
It takes many steps to create a piece like this. First, the blank is cut to size on a bandsaw, a hole is drilled in the center and a brass tube is epoxied in place. After the epoxy is set, I turn the pen on the lathe to the desired shape and size. The piece is sanded with multiple grades of sandpaper until I reach 1,000 grit. Finally, finished with oil and polished to a high sheen.
